Ani - The lost City
It was once the capital of a medival Armenian Kingdom that covered much of present day Armenia and eastern Turkey. The city is located on a triangular site, visually dramatic and naturally defensive, protected on its eastern side by the ravine of the Akhurian River and on its western side by the Bostanlar or Tzaghkotzadzor valley.
Huge cathedrals and mosques, are abandoned for hundreds of years, nobody knows what happened... with the people, and with all the life in this city.
At its height, Ani had a population of 100,000–200,000 people and was the rival of Constantinopole, Bagdad and Cairo .Long ago renowned for its splendor and magnificence, Ani has been abandoned and largely forgotten for centuries.
A small town remained within its walls at least until the middle 17th century, but the site was entirely abandoned by the middle of the 18th century. The depopulation of Ani was paralleled by the depopulation of its rural hinterland as a result of political unrest in the border region during the Ottoman-Iranian wars and a fragmentation of central control by either of the empires.

Old Gergeti trinity monastery
The giant was in front of us now...from here on ,

little tired after heicking 2000 m l.d in 6 hours
More than friends
base camp -free day
I realized that mountains are God's gift for men
the last untouched creation
if you managed to be one with what's around you.
you can hear the wind as scratching the rocks
Climbing on a new rute through the west- southtern glacier was a hard nut
snow, high winds, fog, crevices, ice wall, rock fall
All in one- only on promotion
On a baffling time we reached the peak at 14.30 with a delay of over 3 hours from the initial plan.
From the top you could not see anything becouse the wind was unbeatable, but the release that after 10 hours of climbing on a icewall full with crevices was finaly over... was fantastic/
Dyevdorak Glacier
In the old basecamp, cleanliness is entirely missing
On last view to the main glacier valley
